What a time we had in India! It was not an easy road as no one has been to India for quite some time with the School of Christ. The superintendent who had invited me had never heard of Brother Clendennen, but he had heard of the School of Christ.
We had 30 students—half were pastors, and the remaining students were praise and worship leaders, Sunday School teachers, and other ministry leaders. The students had a very difficult time with the discipline of the School, but by the third day the Lord began to move in their hearts. The class swelled to over 40 students as the word went out about what was taking place in the School. Some even sat against the outside of the church walls and listened while we preached the Word of God.
We went out into the village and laid hands on many people that were sick. The following day we had two ladies come saying they had been healed of fever after we prayed.
The end of the first week, on Friday afternoon, we had a van full of Hindu radicals come to kill me and to cause trouble. Praise God, the superintendent’s son saw them and we had about fifteen minutes to clear the place out. When they found an empty church with nothing happening, they all left. I instructed everyone to study the book of Romans over the weekend, and we started the School up again on Monday. We added an extra lesson a day to make up for the lost time.
The village where we were is very dangerous (for safety reason we are not including the name of the village). The pastor of the church we used had recently been murdered, but the Lord protected us while we were there. I just received an email from the new pastor saying that eight new souls have been added to the Kingdom of God and have been baptized since we ran the SOC in that village! Praise God!!
The Lord is so very faithful. We are looking forward to what the Lord will do in India and the surrounding areas as the Lord moves us forward and puts us in touch with the right people.
