Faith Dares to Fail – (preached in July 1989). From Hebrews 11:36-40 “And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment…” Success is measured by our love and commitment to God, not by honor or things we accumulate here on earth. It’s not whether we are happy or successful, but are we right with God. The rapture will reveal who was really successful and who was not.
Faith is Not Inherited – (preached in June 1987). From II Timothy 1:5 “When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also”. Paul saw this great faith in Timothy’s family, but this faith was not inherited by Timothy, rather taught by a faithful mother and grandmother. So too must the parents teach their children faith, as each man will enter in by his own faith, it is not inherited.
Faith for the Occasion – (preached in February 1988). From Hebrews 11 through 12:1 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us”. Don’t wait for the enemy, go out and meet him. Rise up in faith and see God bring a miracle.
