In August 2019, I traveled with my wife, Candace, to the city of Turin in Italy to teach lessons from the School of Christ and introduce the School to church leaders at the invitation of Brother Wilson, the overseer of the work in Italy.
Brother Wilson testified that he found the European School of Christ website by accident. He was going through a crisis in his life and needed to find someone who believed the uncompromising Gospel of Jesus Christ.
He contacted us and immediately he made plans to attend the week-long mini-SOC and preacher’s convention in Limerick, Ireland. He purchased the SOC Manuscript and began to read it.
In July, 2019, he attended a full three-week School in Limerick. Brother Wilson said that the School of Christ was a life-changing event, and he followed up by preaching the SOC at his home church in Manchester, England.
We attended and spoke at their annual four-day convention in the Northern Italian city of Turin. Twenty-five leaders and their families gathered from England, France, Italy, and Nigeria. I shared from the Word of God what the Church is to be from God’s perspective. I presented the School of Christ material and training to them. I gave testimonies of how effectual the SOC is in the lives of ministers—both mature, seasoned leaders, as well as new and inexperienced leaders.
It was not an easy environment to minister in, but it was very profitable. One of the elderly leaders wept as he thanked the Lord for bringing them back to TRUTH. A young pastor told how vital this meeting was for their churches. On the last day of the convention, Brother Wilson stood and informed them that he was going to be putting all of the leaders through the full three-week School in Limerick beginning this year.
They are planning to run a full-time School in Turin soon. The SOC training and material is the tool leaders have been searching for all across Northern Italy. Keep us in prayer that we might know the wisdom on how to move forward in this work for the Glory of God and the benefit of local churches.
