People who know God and how to pray, are the hope of this generation. Sometimes we are overwhelmed by events and circumstances, and we take these events as a call to intercessory prayer. God has faithfully given us, in His Word, how His people responded to days such as we are now living in.
In Ezra, chapter 9, this man of God, Ezra, received reports of the unbelievable conditions of the people and lands. As he sat astonished He described his reactions. He began calling upon God for His help. In verses 8 and 9 this holy man said, “And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage. For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.”
I am asking God’s people to enter into a time of urgent prayer for His work in these last and astonishing times. Pray especially for the work and workers of the School of Christ International, that He will bring a restoration and reviving to the peoples of the earth that we have the privilege to minister to.
