NOTHING

The simplest answer to this serious question is, “What More Could Jesus Do?” No question is more important than those with lasting results. Everyone born will one day stand before Jesus Christ and account for what they thought or did with the Son of God. God has warned, and it will be fulfilled from Philippians 2:10 “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Life’s important eternal values, the church’s accuracy and infallibility are now open for criticism, private interpretation, mockery, and blasphemy.

Without further commentary, I return to the only answer to any question asked by any man regarding the complete and eternal finished work of Jesus.

I was in a small bayou church in Louisiana many, many years ago and heard them sing this song;

“What more could Jesus do,

Oh, tell me, oh tell, what more could Jesus do,
He laid the foundation, opened wide the door,
Tell me what more, what more could Jesus do?”
Nothing. What was needed was a way, a price for those who would enter, and a reward for the faithful. This was all fulfilled in the Man Christ Jesus. He finished this Life; nothing can be added to it or taken from it. Revelation 22:18-19 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

This is God’s Word and His plan. AMEN
