SOC Vietnam: Open Doors, God Transforming and Preparing Hearts

Glory be to God for all that has happened this past month. Words cannot fully express the fruitfulness and open doors we experienced in Vietnam. It was truly beyond our expectations.

We began in the north, in Hanoi, from October 3rd to 12th, with over 40 students attending the first 53 lessons of the curriculum—about one-third of the full course, which will be completed over three one-week sessions. After a few days, the spiritual atmosphere began to shift. The students grew more hungry for God’s Word, and their passion stirred something deeper in the Spirit. This prepared the way for what we would later experience in the south, in Ho Chi Minh City.

From October 13th to 17th, another 40 students joined in Ho Chi Minh City, along with two organization leaders who serve as overseers of prayer and education in their ministry. These humble servants of God were deeply moved by the teachings and testified of how powerfully the Holy Spirit worked in their hearts. They were amazed that such schooling is not more widespread. Throughout both weeks, many were touched spiritually, emotionally, and physically, and the fire of God seemed to grow stronger each day. We have since received several requests to return and continue the training in other regions of the country.

To close this blessed trip, from October 22nd to 24th we held the first Vietnam Summit—a follow-up gathering for previous School of Christ graduates, as well as new attendees eager to experience the teaching for the first time. Testimonies flowed as many shared how deeply the Word of God had touched them. The summit concluded with the message “Prayer and Our Attitude Toward God.” The Holy Spirit moved mightily as everyone knelt or lay before the Lord in prayer—a perfect and powerful ending.

We were also blessed to have a pastor friend from Myanmar join us. A humble man with a passion for revival, he shared a powerful testimony of healing. After battling ear cancer and lingering symptoms, he was completely healed during prayer—no more fear or pain.

We give all glory to God for what He has begun in Vietnam and look forward with great expectation to what He will do next.
