SOCI Banquet: A Journey Through Five Continents and the Future of SOCI Missions
What an honor for the School of Christ International to be included in the PAG Annual Campmeeting, “Finish Well”.
Thursday morning at the 10am service, Brother Brian Larsen (SOCI President) brought a stirring message on missions entitled, “We Have This Ministry: Empty Possibilities.” He challenged everyone present to become God’s vessel in these end times.
Following the service, the SOCI hosted a banquet for everyone to hear firsthand what the Lord is doing in different areas around the world through the SOCI.
Brother Brian began by giving an overview of his travels across five continents and testimonies from graduating students around the world. God is still moving and
opening new doors for the SOCI to train ministers and leaders. Online SOCI is continuing to grow and change lives here in the United States. Two graduates from the Online School from PAG were given their certificates at the banquet.
Brother Keith Malscomson, the Director over Europe, gave his personal testimony of how the Lord led him to find the SOCI and how it changed his life. In closing, he left us with a charge: “Individuals matter; remember, we are dealing with souls.”
Our Director over the country of Thailand, Brother David Jacobson, gave a report on our continued work with the Karen people. He just returned from Thailand, and the work that was started in 2000 is still ministering and growing. The work of the SOCI among the Karen is training, not only in countries around the world, but also here in the United States. The number of graduates is growing, and we are seeing a deeper walk with the Lord in their lives.
Brother Jacobson ended with “God has a plan and no man can stop it.” Vice President of the SOCI, Robin St Clair had just returned from India and Bulgaria. He reported that the SOCI work remains the same. Faces are different, but the message is the same; the same Gospel and the same results: hearts and lives are changed! The second and third generations are now graduating from the SOCI. They are strong in the Word and dedicated to doing the Will of God by training their generation for Christ. He ended the banquet by encouraging ministers to join our new SOC Ministerial Alliance. In this end-time, when everyone seems to be doing what is right in their own eyes, it is more important than ever to be joined with “ministers of like
precious faith.”
