THE END OF ALL THINGS

"The end of all things is at hand" (1 Peter 4:7).

Where are we in God's timing concerning world events? Peter spoke these words, used as our Scriptural reference, "But the end of all things..." His words are true, but how much closer are we to them being Divinely fulfilled than when the man of God initially spoke them. What is being fulfilled before our eyes is as the words of the prophet Daniel when he said, "And he (the antichrist) shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws..." (Daniel 7:25). Worn out saints, changing laws, and times are foretold in God's Word. We are witnesses to all of these truths in our lifetimes.

The word "dispensation," when used in reference to God's working in the world means, "the divine ordering of the affairs of the world; an appointment, arrangement, or favor, as by God; a divinely appointed order or age."

Nothing is transpiring in life today but by the full knowledge and will of God. God is not the author of these matters, but man is reaping the fruit of his sowing. It's like when the nation of Israel asked the prophet, Samuel, to set a ruler over them. Samuel told them that God was their ruler and Master, to which they replied they desired a ruler over them as all other nations had. At that point, God had the prophet anoint Saul to be their earthly ruler. Read and be reminded of the troubles and failures that followed this decision. When God was their God, He miraculously delivered them, fed and watered them, healed them, and supplied their every need. Under Saul, and after that, they were defeated, wasted, and enslaved. At the end of his life, this king wanted and received a place of repentance for his evil actions and found no forgiveness.

In this hour of changing laws and times, God, as He did with Israel, is allowing people to have what they are asking for. But, as with Israel during the reign of Saul and after, it will not work. In the coming days, one worse than Saul will ascend into the leadership of the whole world. The antichrist, the son of perdition, the man of sin, among other names given in the Bible. He will be opposed to all religion and will set himself up as God. There is only one place of safety, and it is found in Proverbs 18:10, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe."

We have witnessed the explosion of lawlessness and crime etc. in America. We know the end of all things has come and will continue until the fulfillment of all things spoken by the Lord. A point of truth is this is not an issue involving a few nations, but this change has covered the entire earth. It is not isolated. It is universal. When Jesus was speaking of the time of the end, He said in Matthew 24:21, "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." Give special notice to His words, there has never been, and there never will be a time like this.
